Arthur Nory Oyakawa Mariano (born 18 September 1993) is a Brazilian artistic gymnast and a member of the national team. He participated in the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, placing fourth in the horizontal bar and 12th all-around. He shot to fame and became an overnight sensation after he won the bronze medal in floor exercise at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The 19-year-old U.S. gymnast quickly declared Mariano her “Brazilian boyfriend” when the two met up in the Olympic Village in July, ahead of the Games. Biles let the world know about Mariano by posting a cute shot of the pair hugging on Twitter, captioning it “my Brazilian boyfriend” with a kiss and heart emoji.
